Members’ Tour 2024
Our annual tour of the churches, for members of the Trust, will take place on Saturday 7th September 2024, hosted by Joan Campbell. We will be visiting the churches at Brookland, Snargate and Fairfield. This tour is now fully subscribed but we will be operating a waiting list. If you wish to be included on the waiting list, please indicate this on the updated booking form below.
Joan Campbell’s knowledge of the Romney Marsh churches is unsurpassed and she has that rare ability of making her talks both interesting and informative, as well as entertaining. Joan is the author of our guidebook, which is now available to purchase online here.
In the morning there will be an opportunity to visit the church at Brookland, including a look inside its unusual wooden free-standing bell tower.
After the lunch, we will visit the churches at Snargate and Fairfield.
Please note, access to Fairfield church is across a field (via a causeway) - this may have an uneven surface and can be slightly muddy in wet weather. Appropriate footwear is advised.
PROGRAMME:

Afternoon - The coach will depart from Lydd at 13:45 to Snargate church and from there onwards to Fairfield.
